Buy-back & exchange

We buy back what we sell, for as long as we are trading — at the rate on the day you bring it back. Gold from other shops is welcome too.

Two ways to use your gold

Sell it back, or trade it in

Both start the same way: the piece is tested and weighed in front of you and valued at the day's rate.

Buy-back

Sell a piece back to us. It is valued at the day's 20K rate against its weight, and paid in cash at the counter or by bank transfer to your account.

Exchange

Move to something new. Your piece is valued at the day's rate in the same way and set against the price of whatever you are moving to.

At the counter

How it works

Usually a few minutes from start to finish, and nothing is decided until you have seen the weight and the figure.

  1. 01

    Step 01

    Bring the piece

With your CNIC — we cannot buy gold without it. If the piece is ours, bring the bill too.

  2. 02

    Step 02

    Tested & weighed

Purity is tested and the piece weighed on the counter scale, in front of you. It usually takes a few minutes.

  3. 03

    Step 03

    Quoted at today's rate

You are quoted the day's 20K buying rate against the weight — the rate the shop publishes on this website each day.

  4. 04

    Step 04

    Your choice

Cash, a bank transfer or an exchange against a new piece. Or say no: there is no obligation, and your gold goes home with you.

Good to know

Before you come in

The gain is yours

Pieces are bought back at the rate on the day you return them, not the day you bought them. If the rate has risen since, that rise is yours.

Why the rate is lower

The buying rate sits below what the same gold sells at. The difference is the making charge, which cannot come back with the metal: the gold has to be melted and made again before it can be sold as jewellery.

Keep your bill

It confirms the weight, the karat and the making charge a piece was sold at. It is not required to sell, but it saves time at the counter.

Selling silver or a stone-set piece? These are assessed differently, so ask us on WhatsApp before making the trip.

Questions

Questions we are asked

Do you buy back what you sell?

Yes, for as long as we are trading. Bring the piece and its bill and we buy it back against the gold rate on the day you return it, not the day you bought it. Making charges are not returned, which is standard across the trade.

How buy-back & exchange work
How much will you pay for my gold?

We buy jewellery at the 20K rate, which is published on the Sell Your Gold page and moves with the market each day. You are paid that rate against the weight of your piece, weighed in front of you.

See today's buying rate
Can I sell jewellery bought from another shop?

Yes. Gold bought from another jeweller, inherited jewellery and old or broken pieces are all assessed the same way: tested for purity and weighed in front of you, then quoted against the day's buying rate.

What do I need to bring?

Your CNIC — we cannot buy gold without it, whatever the piece is. The original bill is not required to sell, but it saves time because it already carries the weight and the karat.

Can I refuse the offer?

Yes. There is no obligation to sell. If the figure is not for you, your gold goes home with you.

How am I paid when I sell?

Cash at the counter, a bank transfer to your account, or an exchange against a new piece. You choose once the figure is agreed.
