Privacy Policy

Al-Madina Jewellers is a family jewellery shop at Sarafa Market, Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, Pakistan. This policy covers our website, www.almadinajeweller.com, and our Android app, which shows the same website. When it says “we”, it means the shop.

You can browse the catalogue, check the gold rate and use the calculators without telling us anything. We only receive information you choose to send us:

• Contact and bridal consultation forms — your name and phone number, and, if you add them, your email address, city, wedding date, budget range, preferred time to be called and your message.
• Custom order form — your name and phone number, and, if you add them, your city, the kind of piece, its size, a description, a photograph and a voice note. The microphone is only used while you are pressing record, and only after you allow it.
• Order requests from your bag — your name, phone number, city and any notes, together with the pieces you chose and the prices quoted to you.
• Reviews — your name, city, rating and review, and an order reference if you give one. Once we approve a review, your name, city, rating and review are shown on the piece’s page. The order reference is never published.

Your wishlist and bag are saved only on your own device. They are not sent to us unless you place an order request.

We use what you send to reply to you: to call or message you back, to prepare a quote or a custom piece, to arrange a consultation, and to check and publish reviews. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to show you advertising.

Enquiries, orders, reviews and attachments are stored with Supabase, the database service our website runs on. Photographs and voice notes are kept in private storage, not on a public web address. Only shop staff can see them, through a password-protected staff area. When a new enquiry arrives, its details may be sent to shop staff by email so it is not missed.

The website itself is hosted by Vercel.

• WhatsApp and phone calls. Buttons that say WhatsApp or Call open the WhatsApp app or your phone’s dialler. Anything you send there is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
• Google Maps. The map on our Stores page is loaded from Google, which receives your device’s address and browser details when the map is shown.
• Google Fonts. Our typefaces are loaded from Google, which receives the same basic connection details.
• Analytics. The website can use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to count visits and see which pages are read. When they are switched on, they set cookies and collect details such as the pages you visit, your device and approximate location, and they are covered by Google’s and Meta’s own privacy policies. This page will say so here if either is in use.

We keep enquiry and order details for as long as we need them to deal with your request and to keep our business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time, as described below.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including a photograph, voice note or review you sent. Contact us by phone, on WhatsApp or through our contact page, tell us the name and phone number you used, and we will do it. We may ask you to confirm the request from that phone number before deleting anything.

You do not need an account to use our website or app, so there is no account to delete.

Our website and app are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Our website and app only connect over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and access to what you send us is limited to shop staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
